This is the second piece out of this series. Unsure of what to call it for now.

Whale Eater
Thought I would return to good old pen and ink and this is what happened. SO my goal was to draw something with a lot of detail so I can push the nib and brush more with the ink. This piece ended up becoming a series. The others are in the process of development. This being the first; a creature out of the sea.

Anticipation
I often see very interesting people on the bus/waiting at the bus stop. I like to draw the faces I see whenever I get a chance. I find that all faces tell different stories. This piece was inspired by an elderly man I saw on the bus commute. I was playing around with the final crop as well. Thought that crop looked interesting. Also been using this same colouring technique from my past few post.

Space Tumble
I got to go home early today from my co-op. So I spent the majority of my night colouring some of the characters I drew early this summer. Using some of the techniques I've learned from my co-op with Scott. I had a lot of fun colouring this piece.
I took out the cans of pop and cropped them closer.
Flat colouring before I add the textures.
Ink brushed outlines.
Original sketch.

Summer Ride
Since the start of my summer vacation I have been sketching things I see around town (both in Oakville and my time in London). Things that were inspiring, quirky people or scenes that I thought would make an interesting image.
Since last semester I have been testing different processes out and I think I have finally found a way of working towards a visual image Im happy with. I have been playing a lot lately with combining digital and traditional methods. Im in the midst of exploring faces and exaggerations in them. I also wanted to play with textures. I still have to work on my colour pallet but this will do for now. This piece is not complete in my mind but at least I have a starting point for further explorations.

First Post of the Summer
It's summer time and I have started a new sketch book. These are a few of the drawings I did when I was home in London/out and about in Oakville.
