Portrait Study

Portrait study I did in drawing and painting class today.  3 hour pose. Acrylic on Masonite.

Two attempts

Kinda looks like Indiana Jones.

The first painting was done in the first half of class. I left it as is, to not over work it. The second painting was done during the second half of class. More of a painterly approach.

The Upheaval

Ink and water colour

This is an illustration for our Intro to short stories class. The story was called "The Upheaval." This scene depicts the main character Mashenka finding her room being searched by the lady of the house painted in red. The story described her having "...red hands." So I painted her all in red.

Email Scam Final

This is my Nigerian Email Scam final. My email was based on these Filipinos (Hoorah for the Philippines!) who wanted to launder some money out of the country. Very loosely based on the email. Basically slapped their faces on the trunk of the tree and focused on the tree as the metaphor for the scam. The victim gets tangled in it and the rich get richer.
